THE
Startup
There are three available options for the startup of Dectron, PoolPak and Seresco equipment. Remote Assisted Start-up (RASU), in person Factory Assisted Start-up (FASU), and Factory Certified third-party Start-up (FCSU). Any startup completed by a third-party must be reported within 2-weeks of the date of startup, and the warranty certificate requested for warranty registration.
Unitary Dehumidifiers (DS/PCP/NE)
Startup of Unitary dehumidifiers may be performed by a certified service technician who has successfully completed Dehumidified Air Services factory startup training. Alternatively, the startup of your Unitary dehumidifier may be completed with the assistance of a Dehumidified Air Services technician under a remote or in person factory assisted startup.
Modular Dehumidifiers (Models: LD/PPK/CWT/LW/PPW/NW/LH/PPH/NH)
Startup of any Modular dehumidifier should only occur with the onsite assistance of a Dehumidified Air Services technician under a Factory Assisted Startup. All modular dehumidifiers are provided with a Factory Assisted Startup.
Notice! If a temporary or partial startup is needed of any kind prior to a Factory Assisted Startup, Support@dehumidifiedairservices.com must be notified prior to doing so. Failure to report a temporary or partial startup may void the equipment warranties!
Factory Assisted Startup
There are two options available for a factory assisted startup, In-person Factory Assisted Startup (FASU), and Remote Factory Assisted Startup (RASU). The factory assisted startup provided with the purchase of your equipment must be scheduled within 6-months of the shipment date for your dehumidifier. Delayed startup options are available for purchase if startup of your dehumidifier is not expected to occur within 6-months of the date of shipment.
A local qualified technician must be present onsite and be prepared with all service tools and materials during the completion of any Factory Assisted Startup. Tools and materials required include standard hand tools, multi-meter, various temperature clamps and probes, psychrometer, refrigerant handling tools, refrigerant, glycol, and glycol transfer pump suitable for the application
In Person Factory Assisted Startup (FASU)
A Dehumidified Air Services (DASV) technician will be present on site to provide assistance and supervision to the qualified local technician during the start-up of your dehumidifier. FASU is available for all Modular and Unitary dehumidifiers.
Remote Factory Assisted Startup (RASU)
A Dehumidified Air Services technician will assist a qualified local technician with the equipment start-up remotely by use of WebSentry and phone communication. WebSentry communication is required for the full duration of the RASU when selected. Remote Assisted Startup is only available for Unitary Dehumidifiers.
To request a remote, or in person Factory Assisted Startup, complete the Pre-Startup Checklist in full and return it to scheduling@dehumidifiedairservices.com.
Third Party Startup
Following the successful completion of the Dehumidified Air Services (DASV) start-up training and certification program, an authorized third-party technician may complete start-up on unitary dehumidifiers.
Following completion of start-up, the Start-up report, site photos and any supporting documentation must be submitted to Warranty@dehumidifiedairservices.com for review, approval, and warranty registration within 2-weeks of the date of startup.

Delayed Startup
As standard, any factory assisted startup must occur within 6-months from the date of shipment for your dehumidifier. If startup is not expected to occur within 6-months of the date your equipment is shipped, purchase of a delayed startup option is recommended. Purchase of a delayed startup option will extend the available timeframe for scheduling your factory assisted startup and will postpone the available initiation timeframe for your warranties.
Delayed startup is normally selected at the time of equipment purchase however, delayed startup options are available for up to 6-months after the date of shipment.

Q: What if I need to startup my unit before a factory assisted startup
A: You may need to temporarily startup ventilation and/or heat in your dehumidifier to complete Test and Ballance, to ventilate the natatorium, or to heat up the space in preparation for startup. For this to occur, construction must be substantially complete for the unit installation, and within the natatorium to avoid equipment exposure to construction debris and dust. You must contact Support@dehumidifiedairservices.com for instructions prior to any partial or temporary startup of the dehumidifier.
